What some of the participants in the last course said:

I want to thank you again and say that being part of your networking
programme was a wonderful experience. It's interesting to mention that I
learned LOADS about networking but -- surprisingly -- I learned possibly
more about me as a person. You rock!
Angela Carson
Spain

One of the things that I really appreciated from the course is the fact that
you have given a label to something that I had not really appreciated
before. That is inner circle networking.
Darren Sharman
Germany

I would say this course has been a great in-depth introduction for me
because I have really never had to do networking. I did have a lot of
apprehension about what it would entail. But, from this course, I have
determined that there are a lot of things that I can do and that
I am already doing that will work perfectly, including some live networking.
I think you've given a lot of wonderful pointers on how to do that. So, I feel
really excited.
Valentina Zeff

I just learned so much, it is fantastic. I have learned basically that networking
is work, but it is a little bit fun too. I am more excited about it I have to say,
than I was before. I think, I will reach out more in the future than I have been
I am amazed at all the opportunities that there are for networking. I am also
thrilled to find that I do some of them already just naturally.

Are You Easily Distracted?

If so, you might like to read a copy of April's newsletter. I doubt you could get through a day without being distracted in one way or another by something. Either externally - by the phone, email and other people or internally - by your thoughts or a change in focus, particularly if you're working on something that is either difficult or doesn't really hold your interest. We're only human and we're easily bored and it's too easy to let these distractions interrupt the flow. What distra… Continue

Bullying and Peer Pressure Does Not End In the Playground

Childhood brings up many memories -- school, playing with our friends and enjoying holidays with our family. It can also bring back those uncomfortable remembrances of peer pressure. Were we wearing the right clothes, hanging out with the right crowd or doing the right things to fit in?

Friend Requests and Online Networking

Imagine you are at a cocktail party.

Would you simply walk up to someone you've never met before and begin the conversation with "Hi, let's be friends"? Probably not.

I was recently at a large event where everyone was wearing name tags. At the end of the evening, as everyone was getting ready to leave, I came face to face with a man I'd never met before in my life. He took a quick look at my name tag, avoided eye contact, thrust his business card into my jacket pocket and said:… Continue

My Heartfelt Thanks

Thank you so much to all those who responded to my plea for help. You know who you are. I would not want to embarrass you by naming who you people are.

The gift of education is so priceless. It is one of the treasures we have that can never be stolen from us.

My daughter, Angel, goes to a very good school. I would want the same for the other Filipino kids. I would want them to have the same opportunities that Angel would have because of her education. Our kids are the future… Continue

Here's a great story about a professor who is giving his last lecture because he has pancreatic cancer and has been given only weeks to live.
