I’d like to introduce you to Michael Ehlert. Michael is one of my Virtual Friends. I met him about 4 years ago when I was writing my book Kick Start Your Life. Michael designed the cover with me and helped me to build my first ever website.

Michael has worked with hundreds of businesses, large and small and from all over the world, in the planning, development and promotion of their products and services. He recently developed an online Workshop which provides its participants with a design, development and marketing team, and a professionally strategized and designed, market-ready web site.

What makes Michael really special though is not his skills, which are many; but his honest and gentle nature. Michael is one of those people who are a genuine joy to know.

Before Ning.... before Xing.... before Facebook.... before MySpace.... there was The WayneNet!

And the WayneNet wasn't confined to the Internet. It was multi-platform! Web, e-mail, instant messaging, SMS, cell phone, land-line, even {gasp!} face-to-face! It was (and is) truly a living organism! And it all started with Wayne Harris.

I met Wayne in 2000. We were were both in sales at an Information Security company. I was struck by his friendliness and the genuine interest that he took in getting to know me. I was "the new guy" and he made it his mission to understand areas where I was strong and the areas where I needed improvement. I began to call him "Master Yoda" because he was like a Sensei, giving me little hints and lessons about how I could improve my sales skills.

I asked another one of our co-workers why Wayne was so interested in me. She told me, "That's just Wayne, he's interested in everybody!"

And that's when I began to understand the value of networking.

You see... here's how the WayneNet works.

- You meet Wayne.
- Wayne gets to know you. He finds out what you have to offer and where you can use help.
- If there is someone in his network that could use what you have to offer - he makes the introduction.
- If there is someone in his network that could be of assistance to you - he makes the introduction.
- It's that simple!

There is no ego involved at all! The WayneNet is not about Wayne, it's about his network.

The WayneNet has helped people find products, find services, find jobs, find real estate, find automobiles, find soul-mates and find inspiration!

And now the WayneNet is going Global (Global Success, that is!)

Take a moment and introduce yourself to Wayne. He is someone you'll want to know!

(By the way... in addition to being a human rolodex, Wayne is a great guy! I was lucky enough to find myself living just down the street from him for a few years and our families became good friends!)

I'd like to introduce you to my friend, Chuck Dennis. Chuck is The Angry Customer Expert. If you need help with your angry customers, Chuck is the person you should go to.

Along with another friend, we form the Popcorn Group. We love to gossip, drink tequila and eat popcorn. But, mostly, we just really like to gossip. *lol*

Learn more about Chuck by checking his Global Success Page. Oh, he also has his own Ning network: The Angry Customer. He's got these podcasts there on handling angry customers. Very good stuff.

Hey Sunny,

Thanks for the kind plug! As we say here in New England, "Who's better than you?" The answer, of course, is NOBODY!

Sunny - as many of you may already know - is the international marketing maven: bright, perceptive, eloquent, charming, and funny as hell!

Anyway, I have a few things percolating at the moment, but I hope to contribute to this group in the near future. I think Ning has some cool groups, and this is one of them!

Best regards,

Chuck

Meet Paul MacFarlane

This was Paul's message today.

A woman was in great pain. Her back became unbearable, so she reluctantly went to a specialist to diagnose the problem.

"Well," said the doctor, "your problem can be cured by an operation, two weeks in hospital and six months of therapy and rest, flat on your back."

"Doctor, I can't afford all of that- it sounds far too expensive."

"Well then, for about twenty-five dollars I can retouch the x-rays," suggested the doctor.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Yes, the real work, the real sacrifice,
the real journey
often seems too expensive,
too arduous,
too inconvenient
for our little lives of schedule, routine, comfort, familiarity and habits.

So, when we are faced with a choice to discover the true, the deepest reality in ourselves,
we usually say no.
Because we don't want to change the inside.
That feels too extreme, too risky, too dangerous, too unusual, too painful and unnecessary.

Maybe this why sometimes "life" throws a real challenge our way-an invitation for growth, for a most important, epic journey.

So why the mask?

It's so easy to put on a mask, to say "I'm fine" to a friend, to family, to those who should know us best.
We wear masks all the time, as employees, fathers, mothers, children, bosses.
I like to sit near kitchen doors in restaurants to watch waiters faces change from tired stress to that phony happy expression when they approach customers.

Unless they approach me. I don't tolerate masks very well anymore.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

What are the masks you wear?

Who do you wear them for?

. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I don't want to see your mask.

I want to go deep inside your deepest core.

You are invited into mine.

The x-ray in the story suggests the problem, the opportunity.
But who will go deeper into their inner essence, their deepest reality?

The invitation is extended.

Come.

Paul

I'm offering 100 free 30-minute coaching sessions, so feel free to pass this e-mail on to a friend, family member, stranger or colleague.

This week I would like to intoduce you all to Peggy Murrah. Peggy has been a constant in my life since I took my coaching practice online four years ago. Two years ago I become one of her clients and her team look after all of my virtual business needs.

The fact that Peggy's business is based in the US and I am based in Switzerland is a bonus. I send work and her people work like elves through the night so that I wake up to a cleared desk. Don't we all dream of that? :-)

Peggy is one of the most reliable people you will ever meet and it is an honor to recommend her business Peggy Murrah and Associates
