- Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Miami Florida. Received my Bachelors degree in Biology/Philosphy from Boston College in 1982. Conducted cancer research at Harvard Medical school for 2 years and became a Director of a research lab in Michigan for about 4 years. Graduated from Northestern Law School in 1991. Worked as Senior Patent & Trademark Counsel for Genzyme Corporation from March 1992 to August 1999. Worked as Senior IP Counsel for Tyco Heathcare and CEO, Managing Director for Tyco International AG from August 1999 until October 2005.
