About Me:
I know when I am going to die.

No, really - I do!

In fact, I turned the date into a barcode and tattooed it on my shoulder so that I would never take a single day for granted. See for yourself:

Having a constant awareness of my own mortality has completely transformed my life.

I am a professional motivational speaker and author and use my concept of The Power of Mortality™ to help others live their best possible lives.
Website or Blog:

In which area would you particularly like to be successful
I can't think of an area of my life where I WOULDN'T like to be successful? Can you?
What do you have to offer others?
I offer others the chance to live lives that are FEARLESS, FOCUSED and FREE FROM REGRETS! Just think of what that will do for your personal life and your business!

I do this by teaching them to use something I developed called: The Power of Mortality™.

My book, What's Your Expiry Date? Embrace Your Mortality - Live With Vitality has received widespread acclaim and has helped countless people to change their lives for the better.

I offer workshops, seminars and a series of keynote speeches, including:
A Life-Changing Keynote Presentation
A motivational keynote for Network Marketing organizations.
A motivational keynote for Financial Services organizations.
What charities are you involved in?
I was the founding president of the Canadian Congenital Heart Alliance

I have also been very involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters

Friend Requests and Online Networking

Imagine you are at a cocktail party.

Would you simply walk up to someone you've never met before and begin the conversation with "Hi, let's be friends"? Probably not.

I was recently at a large event where everyone was wearing name tags. At the end of the evening, as everyone was getting ready to leave, I came face to face with a man I'd never met before in my life. He took a quick look at my name tag, avoided eye contact, thrust his business card into my jacket pocket and said:… Continue

The Last Lecture

Here's a great story about a professor who is giving his last lecture because he has pancreatic cancer and has been given only weeks to live.

His message is wonderful! But don't wait until you have only weeks left to live before you start living a life that is FEARLESS FOCUSED AND FREE FROM REGRET!

Valuing Your Time

"What is your time worth?"

If you are a salaried employee, you probably answered with the amount of your annual salary.

If you are a contract employee, or a freelancer, you probably answered with your hourly rate.

But today I want you to think about the value of your time from a few different angles.

Over a year ago, I wrote an article called "What's Your Life Worth?" that asks you to take a "big pictu… Continue

Networking Personified

Before Ning.... before Xing.... before Facebook.... before MySpace.... there was The WayneNet!

And the WayneNet wasn't confined to the Internet. It was multi-platform! Web, e-mail, instant messaging, SMS, cell phone, land-line, even {gasp!} face-to-face! It was (and is) truly a living organism! And it all started with Wayne Harris.

I met Wayne in 2000. We were were both in sales at an Information Security company. I was struck by his friendliness and the genuine interest… Continue

Hi Patrick,

I recently joined Global Success network and see that you are also part of this group . I have been in business as a dentist for over 30 years. Recently, I decided to expand my network through social networks and groups like Ning.

I would like to invite you to be my personal friend on Ning

In that I am new to Ning, if you have any recommendations of how to optimize this opportunity to network, I would appreciate it.

I am very excited to be releasing a business and success book in mid December. I recently had my newest website developed and am getting into the world of blogging.

If you get a chance, please visit my website at www.JoeCapista.com

Have a great day.

Your message speaks to me, as I have been active for years in the disability arts community worldwide. Thanks for galvanizing people around the notion that mortality is a message! And that our response to the message of mortality can be profound, invigorating, and even joyous.

It was great to "meet" you. I think your message about our expiry date is so important that EVERYONE should hear it.
